Description

IBM SmartCloud Notes Administrators: On or after April 29, 2019, IBM will completely disable deprecated versions of SSL on our SMTP servers, and require at least TLS 1.0 (TLS 1.2 preferred) for encrypted SMTP connections. While we do not anticipate any impact to the service there are a few things you should know: - If the SmartCloud Notes SMTP servers encounter an SMTP server that does not support TLS 1.0 the message(s) will be sent via clear text. This is common practice today and generally only occurs with older SMTP servers that have not been updated to current standards. - This change applies to smtp.notes.<AP, CE, or NA>.collabserv.com on port 25. It does not apply to submit.notes.<AP, CE, or NA>.collabserv.com available on port 465 for clients who have IMAP users. - This change does not require end users or administrators to update any settings.
